Inspect a public ecommerce storefront and receive a sampled diagnostic with a prioritized action plan. No store credentials are required. This API does not modify stores or place orders.

Replace the example URL with a real public store URL. Include https:// or http://. Private and local network targets are blocked. Only scan stores you are authorized to assess.
Discovery: capabilities.json endpoint. No API key is required in this free public scanner/API. Limits: 12 scans per 10 minutes per IP. Website and API requests share the limiter. On HTTP 429, honor Retry-After; do not immediately retry.

HTTP outcomes
200: completed scan. 400: missing or invalid URL. 405: use POST. 422: scan could not complete; inspect error and available diagnostic fields. 429: rate limit. 500: unexpected scan error.
Blocked access and an empty product sample are not proof of a poor store. The scanner can miss data because of anti-bot protection, rendering, endpoints or its limited discovery coverage.
Methodology and limits
The current checks cover transport and discovery, sampled product fields, shipping and return information, ratings and merchant identity. Each check contributes its returned weight. Priorities are practical remediation guidance, not predicted revenue impact.
A reachable robots.txt is not permission for every crawler. A detected JSON-LD block does not prove valid Product structured data. Missing shipping, returns or descriptions in sampled data may still exist elsewhere on the store. Verify findings before editing. Variations can pass as not applicable when none are discovered.
This service does not certify autonomous checkout, payment execution, legal compliance, crawler indexing or AI recommendations. Results are a point-in-time sample, not continuous monitoring. Use the report download or print controls to retain your result.
Data handling
Submit only public storefront URLs. Do not submit passwords, API keys, customer data, private URLs or secret query parameters. Requests are sent to the Houndryx hosting server, which fetches public store pages and endpoints. Rate-limit counters use the request IP; hosting access logs may also record requests. Downloaded reports are saved by your browser.
Store scans do not require a Houndryx account or WooCommerce credentials. Houndryx's private scan-event metrics store event time, event type, source, report version and a one-way SHA-256 hash of the normalized store hostname. The full store URL is not stored in scan-event metrics.
If you voluntarily submit the “Apply for the Founding Pilot” form, Houndryx stores the email address and store URL you submit, plus submission metadata such as time, source and status, in a private application database so we can follow up manually about the Houndryx Founding Pilot. This form is not used to collect WooCommerce passwords, API keys or payment credentials.
Commercial status
The public diagnostic is free. The Houndryx Founding Pilot is the current Founding Pilot offer at US$149 per store, one-time payment, with scope and suitability confirmed manually before payment. It includes a technical readiness scan, prioritized findings, a merchant-readable remediation plan, identification of fixable issues, supported before/after proposals, a technical review and final report. Applying does not take payment or authorize changes. Paid checkout, customer accounts, recurring monitoring and real automated fixes are not enabled. No purchase is required to use the scanner.
